AN OUTSTRETCHED HAND
An outstretched hand mirrors the heart. It can be a hand that threatens and strikes, or a hand held out to help, to wipe away the tears; a hand that begs, that seeks healing, or a hand that rejects, used to keep others at a distance or in their place, that sets boundaries and says “come no nearer” or “go no further”.
The hand of Jesus says: “Come closer, come closer to my heart. Receive my peace.” His outstretched hand desires to hold me in peace.
